Bus strike: High Court expresses its anger over RTC unions
Hyderabad, May 13: The vacation bench of the High Court in Hyderabad today expressed its anger over the employee unions of the APSRTC for ignoring its orders to call off their strike that was causing inconvenience to the lakhs of common people.
The High Court, at the same time, directed the two Telugu state government to take appropriate actions and make necessary alternative arrangements to operate bus services for the benefit of the people.
The court also directed the government to initiate department level actions against the agitating employees if they obstruct the plying of the bus services.
Some RTC union sources criticised the HC for issuing notices to the employee unions. They said the court is not giving directions to the two state governments on the issue of pay hike and bifurcation of the RTC.
Meanwhile, union leaders are requesting the court for more time and clarified that they cannot call off their strike until their demands are met by the governments.
