AP police arrest informer-blackmailer, Hyd police try to weaken case

Malikipuram, (EG District) May 10, 2015: East Godavari Police have arrested a prankster-police informer who has been indulging in illegalities and crimes with the support of some top police officers in Hyderabad. While the AP police have arrested him on the orders of the deputy chief minister China Rajappa, top police officials from Hyderabad are putting up pressure on the AP police for releasing him and weakening the case, a report in a vernacular daily has said. The youth , Pravin of Chintapally of Malikipuram Mandalam, has been helping top police officials in Hyderabad as an informer, according to the report. However, he trapped several women of higher strata including the family members of two Tollywood heroes, the report said. He reportedly formed a gang but differences came up among them as he trapped a woman belonging to the gang members. The other gang members then attacked him. The members then lodged police complains against each other. Police found Pravin was using police stickers on his car. They also found several numbers of top police officers in his dairy and nude photoes of several women in his mobile phone. However, some top officials are reportedly trying to weaken the case and ensure his release, the daily reported.
