Chief Minister Chandrababu’s Three-Day UAE Visit Concludes Successfully
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu successfully concluded his three-day visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), aimed at attracting investments to the state. During the trip, he held a series of productive meetings with UAE government ministers and heads of prominent business organizations, explaining investment opportunities in Andhra Pradesh and inviting them to partner in the state’s development.
On the final day of his tour, Friday, the Chief Minister met with UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri. The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral trade relations and investments in logistics, transport, and infrastructure sectors. Chandrababu Naidu sought UAE’s cooperation in enhancing governance and public services in Andhra Pradesh through Artificial Intelligence (AI). The minister responded positively to this proposal. Both governments agreed on a partnership between the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub and Dubai Silicon Oasis. The UAE Minister of Economy also expressed interest in working with Andhra Pradesh on food security initiatives.
Later, the Chief Minister met with UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi to discuss investment opportunities in food processing, renewable energy, petrochemicals, and real estate sectors. The minister showed particular interest in investing in Amaravati. He assured that a special delegation would soon visit Andhra Pradesh to study the investment prospects on the ground.
As part of his visit, Chandrababu Naidu also held meetings with several industry leaders. He met with Deepa Raja Carbon, Managing Director of the Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), to explore partnership opportunities in the digital economy, fintech, and blockchain sectors. He discussed investments in LNG and green energy with Crown LNG CEO Swapan Kataria and explored prospects in logistics and supply chain management with Tristar Group CEO Eugene Mayne.
Chandrababu Naidu informed Aster Group founder Dr. Azad Moopen that the government is prioritizing the establishment of super-specialty hospitals and medical colleges under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. He invited Aster Group to set up international-standard medical facilities in Andhra Pradesh, to which Dr. Moopen responded positively. The Chief Minister also discussed potential investments in the textile and retail sectors with Apparel Group CEO Nilesh Ved, who promised to consider establishing manufacturing units in the state.
