Chandrababu Directs Immediate Probe into Kurnool Bus Mishap
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has strongly reacted to the private bus accident that occurred near Kurnool. On Friday, he conducted a high-level review through video conference with senior officials, including Transport Minister Mandipalli Ram Prasad Reddy. Expressing deep shock over the incident, the Chief Minister directed officials to intensify rescue operations immediately and ordered a comprehensive inquiry into the accident.
Chandrababu Naidu instructed authorities to promptly identify the victims who lost their lives and ensure immediate assistance to their families. He also issued clear directions to the Health Department to provide high-quality medical care to the injured. In light of the incident, the Chief Minister issued crucial orders to the Transport Department to carry out fitness, safety, and permit inspections of all private travel buses across the state. He emphasized that the technical condition of buses in every district must be thoroughly examined.
During the meeting, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu issued a stern warning to travel company managements. He made it clear that if the investigation finds negligence as the cause of the accident, strict action will be taken. Reiterating that public safety is the government’s top priority, Chandrababu Naidu instructed officials to submit a detailed report containing the registration, fitness, and permit details of the bus involved in the accident.
Transport Minister Mandipalli Ram Prasad Reddy assured the Chief Minister that financial assistance for the families of the deceased would be provided as soon as possible. He informed that officials had already reached the accident site and were reviewing the situation. Both Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Minister Mandipalli Ram Prasad Reddy asserted that there would be no compromise when it comes to the safety of the people of the state.
