World-Class Library in Amaravati with ₹100 Crore Contribution
Dubai, October 22: Dubai-based real estate major Sobha Realty Group has announced a contribution of ₹100 crore for the construction of a world-class library in Amaravati. The company’s Chairman, Ravi Menon, made the announcement during his meeting with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, who is currently on a visit to Dubai to promote investment opportunities in the state.
During the meeting, Ravi Menon discussed with Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu plans to establish a global-standard state library in Amaravati. Expressing his appreciation, the Chief Minister thanked the Sobha Group for its generous contribution and said that the initiative aligns with his vision of building Amaravati as one of the best cities in the world.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu invited Sobha Realty to actively participate in the state’s capital development and urged Ravi Menon to visit Andhra Pradesh to review ongoing construction projects. He explained that Amaravati is being developed with top-tier infrastructure comparable to other world-class cities and highlighted the government’s focus on making the state a hub for green energy.
The Chief Minister informed the Sobha Group representatives that projects such as Quantum Valley in Amaravati and a Google Data Centre in Visakhapatnam are already underway. He added that cities like Tirupati and Visakhapatnam are set to undergo significant transformation, with large-scale investments in infrastructure.
Chandrababu Naidu emphasized that Andhra Pradesh offers vast opportunities in the real estate sector, particularly in industrial corridors and port-linked development zones. He suggested that companies could invest in townships, luxury hotels, IT business parks, malls, convention centres, and premium housing projects in key regions such as Amaravati, Visakhapatnam, and Tirupati.
The Chief Minister also praised Sobha Group for dedicating 50% of its income to charitable causes and outlined the state government’s “Zero Poverty Mission,” implemented under the P4 model. In response, Ravi Menon informed that Sobha Group operates projects across Dubai, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, and Brunei, and has real estate developments in 27 cities across 14 Indian states, including Bengaluru, Gurugram, Chennai, and Kerala.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu also invited Sobha Realty to attend the upcoming Global Investors Summit scheduled to be held in Visakhapatnam on November 14–15, where the state will showcase major investment opportunities.
