Ramdev slams critics, clarifies on 'putrajivak' controversy

Hyderabad, May 1: Following sharp attacks over his medicine that is alleged to have promised the birth of male child, yoga guru Baba Ramdev slammed the critics and said the botanical name of the medicine is 'putranjiva roxburghii'. He said in different languages it is called differently. In Hindi it is known as 'putrajivak'. He asked, "What am I supposed to do if the name is only 'putrajivak'?" Stating that he had no intention of chaning the name of his medicines, he said since the name is derived from the botanical name of the ingredients they cannot be taken literally.
