Earthquake-stranded Neelima safe near Mt Everest, returning to Hyd

Hyderabad, April 28, 2015: Software engineer Neelima from Hyderabad, who gave some anxious moments to her colleagues and parents after she was caught in the aftermath of devastating earth quake in Nepal during her expedition to the Mount Everest , is now found to be safe. Neelima called up her parents this evening and informed them she is safe and climbing down from the Mount Everest base camp. Neelima left for Nepal on April 18 for Mount Everest expedition and was part of 21 member group which consisted of Americans and others. The devastating earthquake occurred when they were about to reach a higher base camp at Mount Everest resulting in the climbers getting stranded up there. "We are very happy that my daughter is safe and coming back. She will return to Hyderabad tomorrow or day after," her father told reporters.
