Producer C.Kalyan thrashes lady doctor, booked by police

Hyderabad, April 28 ,2015: A Jubilee Hills based lady doctor lodged a complaint against Tollywood producer C. Kalyan saying he had thrashed her over an argument over the compensation paid by Metro Rail authorities. The doctor, Kavita, told police in her complaint that Kalyan has been threatening her over the issue. Dr Kavita, who lodged the complaint in the wee hours of Tuesday, said that Metro Rail authorities paid a compensation of Rs. 1.4 Cr for utilising their space at Road No. 5 in Jubilee Hills for the rail project. The apartment owners had objected to Kalyan opening a separate bank account without their permission for receiving the compensation. Over an argument, she was roughed up by Kalyan, the complaint says. Dr. Kavita told a news channel that Kalyan had abused her in filthy language and manhandled her. "He should be booked under Nirbhaya Act," she demanded. The Jubilee Hills Police registered case against him under sections 345 C, 506 and 509 and are investigating.
