Hyd Sessions court dismisses Ramalinga Raju's appeal

Hyderabad, April 20, 2015: A Nampally sessions court here on Monday dismissed the petition filed by Satyam Computers scam-convict B.Ramalinga Raju seeking reduction or quashing of the 7-year jail term given to him by the special CBI court. Rejecting the appeal, the session court said it has no jurisdiction over the matter and advised the petitioner to approach the High Court. "This court can not take a decision on your client's appeal as it has no jurisdiction over CBI court. You are free to approach the High Court to redress your grievances," the told the counsel for Ramalinga Raju. Ramalinga Raju will now approach the High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad.
