Olympic elections rub Galla Jaydev, CM Ramesh on the wrong side

Hyderabad, April 19, 2015: The rivalry between TDP leaders Galla Jaya Dev and CM Ramesh over the Olympic Association elections is still continuing. While Galla Jayadev has been elected president of AP Olympic Association and is holding a meeting at Guntur with his elected body, CM Ramesh is holding a separate meeting in Hyderabad. CM Ramesh said the association of Galla Jayadev is not the real Olympic Association. Earlier, Galla Jayadev claimed that his association was recognised by the National Olympic Association. Meanwhile, Congress leader and Olympic Association member Lagadapati Rajagopal said as per the High court orders, the AP Olympic Association is being divided into AP and Telangana Olympic Associations. "We are holding meeting today to elect new bodies as per the High Court orders. We will also request the Naional Olympic Association to recongnise the Olympic units being formed today," he told reporters.
