Chandrababu Hosts P4 Mentors, Shares Vision of P4 Zero Poverty Initiative
Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu stated that although he has launched numerous initiatives during his tenure, the “Zero Poverty P4 Programme” is the one closest to his heart. On Friday, Chandrababu Naidu hosted a feast at the camp office for the mentors who have come forward to support the poor under the P4 Programme. On this occasion, the Chief Minister had an open and heartfelt conversation with them, sharing his thoughts and vision for the initiative. He also sought feedback from the mentors regarding the P4 Programme.
“If the wealthy extend help, poverty will decline. My aim is to ensure that by August 15 this year, mentors adopt 1.5 million ‘Golden Families.’ For this, affluent individuals, corporate companies, industrialists, and voluntary organizations must come together. From B. R. Ambedkar to A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, many great individuals rose to prominence because someone helped them at a crucial point in their lives. Everyone who has succeeded in society must give back as part of their social responsibility. The Gates Foundation stands as an inspiration in this regard. I am striving to eliminate poverty in the state by 2029. So far, we have identified 500,000 Golden Families, and 47,000 individuals have registered as mentors to assist them,” said Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu.
Speaking further, Chandrababu Naidu added, “I have been in politics for 47 years. After becoming Chief Minister, I brought in a second wave of reforms. I gave top priority to IT and education, which yielded significant results. Telugu people have progressed across various sectors. We have succeeded in generating wealth, which enabled us to implement welfare and development programmes. Through initiatives like ‘Janmabhoomi,’ we involved everyone in the development process.”
“My resolve is to uplift the bottom 20 percent of the population in the state both economically and socially. To ensure a bright future for the poor, we have launched the P4 Programme,” said the Chief Minister.
Several mentors praised the initiative launched by Nara Chandrababu Naidu. They expressed their support for the Chief Minister’s vision and goals. They lauded him, stating that they had never before seen a leader who thought so deeply about the poor.
