Court to deliver orders on MAA election on April 15

Hyderabad, April 13, 2015: The city civil court of Hyderabad will deliver its orders on Wednesday on petition filed by an actor alleging illegalities and irregularities in the elections to the president of MAA (Movie Artistes Association) of Telugu cinema industry. The court heard arguments on behalf of small time actor Kalyan who challenged the election process. Citing the repeated appointment of the same person as returning officer to conduct the election, Kalyan alleged the RO has been in collusion with the group led by actor Murali Mohan. Countering the arguments, Murali Mohan filed an affidavit and argued that there were no illegalities in the election process. On earlier hearings, the court directed the MAA authorities to conduct election to the post of president but keep the counting on hold till further orders. The court will deliver its final orders on Wednesday.
