Ramalingaraju files petition seeking quashing of 7-year jail term

Hyderabad, April 13, 2015: Former Satyam Computers Chairman B. Ramalinga Raju , convicted for 7-year imprisonment for role in the biggest financial fraud involving the company, has filed a petition in the Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court here on Monday seeking cancellation of his conviction. "I did a lot for the country. I took the company to international level. I gave employment to thousands of youngsters. Keeping all these things in mind, I beg upon you to revoke my conviction, " he prayed in his appeal. The court has adjourned the case for day after tomorrow.
