HC directs police not to speak to media persons over encounter killings

Hyderabad, April 13, 2015: Directing the AP police officials not to speak to media on the Seshachalam encounter on Tuesday last in which 20 Tamil Nadu wood cutters were killed , the High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad on Monday adjourned till Wednesday further hearing on petitions that questioned the killings. "This court directs you not to speak to media persons when probe is on over the encounter killings. Don't try to be overenthusiastic," the HC told the AP officials. The High Court has also asked the police officials whether or not they have filed cases against policemen involved in encounter killings based on complaints lodged by family members of those killed in Seshachalam forests.
