High court asks AP vehicles to pay tax, TS not to touch the amount

Hyderabad, April 10, 2015: The High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad on Friday directed the AP vehicles entering into Telangana to pay the quarterly entry tax at TS check posts. Delivering its interim orders on petitions filed by AP vehicle owners, the High Court directed the Telangana Government to keep the entry tax collections in separate account and not utilise it for any purpose. "We direct the AP vehicle owners to pay the entry tax. However, the Telangana Government should maintain a separate account for the entry taxes and not touch it till the petitions are finally disposed," ordered the High Court in its interim orders.
