I Bow My Head and Salute Party Workers, Says Chandrababu

Telugu Desam Party President and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu stated that the current Mahanadu would be recorded in golden letters in the history of the party. He praised the party’s dedicated and selfless workers, describing them as the backbone of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). Commending their resilience, Chandrababu Naidu said that despite being persecuted by the previous government, these workers never lowered the party flag. "At this Mahanadu platform, I bow my head and salute every TDP worker," he said.

The Mahanadu began grandly on Tuesday morning in Kadapa, marking the first time the event has been held in this region. Addressing the gathering, Chandrababu Naidu remarked, “This Mahanadu will create history. We won seven out of ten seats in the undivided Kadapa district. This time, we must work harder and win all ten. The victory achieved in the 2024 elections was extraordinary, with a 93 percent strike rate. This remarkable success is due to our yellow soldiers. These victories were made possible by workers who carried the party flag without expecting anything in return.”

Chandrababu Naidu continued, “I am a soldier. I will continue to fight endlessly. My strength and my weapons are you—our workers. When we unite, even the sky is not the limit. We can accomplish anything together. Are you ready for this?” He added that the Telugu Desam Party stands for ethical and visionary politics, and is a brand for principled political values. He claimed that TDP is the only party that has enhanced moral standards in politics, asserting that the party fought against corruption while in the opposition and delivered corruption-free governance when in power.

Referring to the influence of the party’s leadership, he said, “Today, students from the TDP university are present in every party across both Telugu-speaking states.” He emphasized the indelibility of the party’s legacy, stating, “If one tries to tear the history of TDP, it does not rip; if one tries to erase it, it cannot be erased.”

Addressing past criticisms, Chandrababu Naidu said, “Some said the party was finished, but those who mocked us are the ones now finished.” He recalled that over the party’s 43-year journey, it faced crises no other party in the country had to endure. He accused the previous government of reducing governance to an arena of political assassinations and vendettas. “With their destructive rule, the YSR Congress Party brought devastation to the state. TDP leaders and workers who questioned this were hunted, hounded, and harassed with illegal cases,” he claimed.

Chandrababu Naidu paid tribute to a slain party worker, saying, “Even when his throat was being slit, our yellow lion—activist Chandrayya—continued chanting ‘Jai Telugu Desam’ until his last breath. His spirit guides the party forward.”
