14-Day Judicial Custody for Jyothi Malhothra
A local court in Hisar, Haryana has ordered 14-day judicial custody for YouTuber Jyothi Malhothra, who was arrested on charges of espionage for Pakistan. Authorities produced Jyothi Malhothra before the court on Monday, following the completion of her police custody last Thursday.

Initially, Jyothi Malhothra was placed in police custody for five days. After the expiry of that term, investigating officers requested an extension, upon which the court granted an additional four days of police custody.

Once the extended remand concluded last Thursday, she was again presented in court. After hearing the arguments, the judge issued orders remanding her to 14 days of judicial custody.

Over ten individuals have so far been arrested in connection with the allegations of espionage activities conducted on behalf of Pakistan.
