Ganguly's Brother's Family Narrowly Escapes Major Accident as Speedboat Capsizes in Puri

Snehasish Ganguly, the brother of former Indian cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly, and his family narrowly escaped a major accident at the Puri beach in Odisha. A speedboat carrying them capsized suddenly in the sea. Fortunately, nearby lifeguards responded promptly and rescued them safely.

The incident occurred while Snehasish Ganguly and his wife Arpita were participating in water sports along the Puri coastline. Arpita blamed the mishap on the negligence of the boat operators. She alleged that the boat did not have the appropriate number of passengers on board at the time of the accident.

Speaking about the incident, Arpita said, “The sea was extremely rough. Normally, a speedboat should carry around ten passengers. But here, they are allowing just three or four people to board, hoping to make more money. Since the boat was light, it got overturned by the strong waves.” She expressed anguish that had the lifeguards not arrived in time, their survival would have been uncertain.

Arpita demanded that strict action be taken against the negligent boat operators. Visuals of lifeguards rescuing Snehasish Ganguly and his wife from the sea are currently going viral on social media. The incident has once again raised serious concerns over tourist safety at Puri Beach.
