Anchor Syamala Condemns Arrest of Kakani Govardhan Reddy as Political Vendetta
Anchor Syamala, spokesperson for the YSRCP, alleged that Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has failed to fulfill the promises made to the public before the elections. She stated that the government is resorting to diversion politics as it is unable to answer the growing questions from the people.
Speaking to the media, Anchor Syamala criticized the government for allegedly targeting individuals who are questioning the administration on behalf of the public by filing false cases and engaging in acts of political vendetta. She pointed to the arrest of former minister and YSRCP Nellore District President Kakani Govardhan Reddy as the latest example of such retaliatory actions.
Anchor Syamala asserted that Kakani Govardhan Reddy was arrested in a case with which he had no connection, claiming that high-ranking government officials had intentionally apprehended him. “It is outrageous that he was arrested forcibly despite having no involvement,” she said.
She further alleged that the arrest was part of what she described as the "Red Book Constitution" being implemented by the Chandrababu Naidu-led administration. According to her, the government is using such measures to cover up its failures and divert public attention from key issues.
Anchor Syamala accused the government of targeting opposition leaders out of fear that they will be held accountable by the public for unfulfilled promises made during the elections. “Suppressing voices that question the government is not the right path in a democracy,” she stated.
Strongly condemning the arrest of Kakani Govardhan Reddy, Anchor Syamala demanded that the government cease such retaliatory actions. She emphasized that the people are observing these developments and will deliver a fitting response at the appropriate time.
