Mother of Two Leaves Family, Marries 25-Year-Old; Couple Found Dead

In a deeply tragic incident that unfolded in Kailasagiri Colony of Srikalahasti, a 40-year-old married woman and a 25-year-old man died by suicide after entering into a controversial relationship that began on social media.

According to details, the woman, identified as Padma from Visakhapatnam, was married and had a son and a daughter. Her son works as a medical representative while her daughter is in her final year of undergraduate studies. Padma reportedly came into contact with a young man named Suresh, who worked at a mobile shop and resides in Kailasagiri Colony, through social media. Their acquaintance soon turned into a romantic relationship and later developed into an extramarital affair.

Eventually, Padma left her husband and children in Visakhapatnam and moved to Srikalahasti to live with Suresh. Following a complaint lodged by her husband, the police intervened and brought her back. However, Padma remained determined to live with Suresh and, in November of the previous year, she left a letter at home and moved in with him. Despite efforts from her family members to convince her otherwise, Padma proceeded to marry Suresh.

Suresh’s family did not approve of the marriage. Nevertheless, the couple began living together in Kailasagiri Colony. Their life appeared to continue smoothly for some time. However, on May 22, Padma reportedly took her own life by hanging herself from a ceiling fan inside their home.

To prevent the incident from coming to public attention, Suresh allegedly consumed pesticide the following day in an attempt to end his life. A foul smell emanating from the house prompted local residents to alert the police.

Police reached the scene, forced open the doors, and found Padma's body inside. Suresh was discovered nearby, barely conscious. He was immediately rushed to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.

According to locals, a quarrel occurred between the two after Suresh scolded Padma for wasting food and snacks. This argument is believed to have driven Padma to take the extreme step. The incident has left Suresh’s parents, as well as Padma’s son and daughter, grief-stricken and inconsolable.
