Asaduddin Owaisi Calls Pakistan a Failed State in Bahrain Visit

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Member of Parliament Asaduddin Owaisi launched a scathing attack on Pakistan during a visit to Bahrain, describing it as a “failed state” and a “hub for terrorism.” Owaisi warned that unless Pakistan ceases its support for terrorism, it will have to face serious consequences.

A cross-party Indian parliamentary delegation led by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Baijayant Panda visited Bahrain recently. During a meeting with key stakeholders in the country, Asaduddin Owaisi made these remarks.

“Our government has sent us here to inform the world about the persistent threat of terrorism that India has been facing for several years. Unfortunately, we have lost many innocent lives due to these acts of terror. The root cause of this menace is Pakistan. As long as that country continues to support and fund terrorist groups, the problem will not be resolved,” said Asaduddin Owaisi.

He emphasized that the Indian government is taking all necessary measures to protect every Indian life. “If Pakistan dares to repeat such misadventures, the response will be far more severe than it could ever anticipate,” he warned. Owaisi noted that despite facing grave provocations, India has always exercised restraint.

Citing the Pahalgam terror attack, Owaisi highlighted the human tragedy caused by terrorism. “A woman who had been married just six days earlier became a widow on the seventh day. Another woman, married just two months ago, lost her husband in this attack,” he stated with deep emotion.

“Though we may have different political ideologies, we are united when it comes to the integrity of our nation. Our neighbouring country must understand this,” said Asaduddin Owaisi.

He asserted that India possesses the capabilities to safeguard not only its citizens but also all residents within its territory. “Our air defence systems and technological infrastructure are effectively countering all forms of threats emerging from a failed state like Pakistan,” he said. Owaisi also underlined the importance of international cooperation in curbing the financial networks that fund terrorism.

In addition to Asaduddin Owaisi, the delegation included senior leaders such as Ghulam Nabi Azad, BJP MPs Nishikant Dubey, Phangnon Konyak, Nationalist Janata Party (NJP) MP Rekha Sharma, MP Satnam Singh Sandhu, and diplomat Harsh Shringla.

The delegation’s primary objective was to brief international partners about India’s response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack and the country's broader fight against cross-border terrorism. The group is set to visit Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Algeria as part of this initiative. The tour aims to reinforce India’s zero-tolerance policy on terrorism and counter global misinformation campaigns.
