Security beefed up at Telugu organisations in TN

Chennai, April 8, 2015: Security has been beefed up at all Telugu organisations in Chennai and other cities in Tamil Nadu after Chennai bound APSRTC buses were attacked by miscreants in the state following AP police gunning down 20 red sanders smuggler-workers in Seshachalam forests. Heavy police force was deployed at Andhra Social and Cultural Club, the heart of cultural activities for Telugu people in Chennai after activists tried to burn an effigy of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. As a precautionary measure, APSRTC has stopped plying its services to all Tamil Nadu cities. Daily, hundreds of RTC buses carry passengers to Chennai and other cities in TN from AP towns, mostly from Rayalaseema areas.
