My Meeting with Union Minister Rajnath Was Excellent: AP CM Chandrababu

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is taking significant steps to position the state as a cornerstone for India’s future in the defence and aerospace sectors. As part of these efforts, Chandrababu met today in New Delhi with Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. During the meeting, the two leaders held extensive discussions on a comprehensive strategy designed to place Andhra Pradesh at the forefront of national development, particularly in the defence sector.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu described his meeting with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh as “excellent and fruitful.” He reaffirmed his government’s commitment to aligning Andhra Pradesh with the goals of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’—India’s vision for self-reliance in defence manufacturing and innovation.

Outlining key initiatives, Chandrababu said that his administration had proposed the establishment of thematic defence hubs and Centres of Excellence affiliated with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). These initiatives are intended to bolster the state’s role in national security infrastructure and innovation.

In addition, the Chief Minister stated that comprehensive measures would be undertaken to transform Andhra Pradesh into a preferred destination for defence and aerospace industries. This includes the development of strategic infrastructure and the introduction of innovative policy frameworks tailored to attract investment and foster industrial growth.

Chandrababu said that Union Minister Rajnath Singh responded positively to the proposals presented by the Andhra Pradesh government. He claimed that Rajnath Singh assured full support and cooperation from the central government for the state's developmental initiatives.

Expressing gratitude for the Union Minister’s encouraging response and promised support, Chandrababu voiced optimism that this meeting would significantly contribute to Andhra Pradesh’s industrial progress and generate substantial employment opportunities, particularly for the youth.
