Minister Nadendla Manohar Outlines Advance Subsidy Plan for LPG Beneficiaries
Andhra Pradesh Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Nadendla Manohar announced that under the third phase of the ‘Deepam-2’ scheme, the state government is taking steps to deposit the gas cylinder subsidy amount into beneficiaries’ bank accounts in advance. He made this statement while addressing media representatives at the Publicity Department in the Fourth Block of the Secretariat following the e-Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday.

Minister Nadendla Manohar stated, “As part of the implementation of the third phase of the Deepam-2 scheme, we are arranging for the subsidy amount to be credited into beneficiaries’ accounts even before they book their gas cylinders.” He noted that this initiative would provide greater convenience to the recipients.

Elaborating on the scheme’s implementation, Minister Nadendla Manohar explained, “In the first phase of the Deepam-2 scheme, approximately 99,700 people across the state availed themselves of the free gas cylinder facility. During the ongoing second phase, nearly 7 million people have already booked their free gas cylinders.”

He assured that the government is committed to ensuring that every eligible individual benefits from the scheme. The e-Cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, also reportedly discussed several key issues.
