Pakistan PM Acknowledges Damage from Indian Ballistic Missiles
On April 22, twenty-six innocent tourists lost their lives in a militant attack in Pahalgam. In response, India launched “Operation Sindhoor” to avenge the incident. Indian forces targeted nine terrorist camps located in both Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and mainland Pakistan. Among the targets were key enemy airbases, which were destroyed by Indian missiles.
Initially, Pakistan dismissed the Indian operation, claiming there had been no damage and even declaring victory. However, Pakistan has now publicly acknowledged the truth. The country’s Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, has admitted that Pakistan was indeed hit by Indian missiles.
Speaking at a public event on Friday night, Shehbaz Sharif stated, “After India began its strikes between the night of May 9 and 10, at around 2:30 a.m., Army Chief General Munir called me and informed that India had launched ballistic missiles. He said the Noor Khan Airbase in Rawalpindi, along with other locations, had come under attack. It became clear at that point just how far Operation Sindhoor had gone. At the time, Pakistan’s Air Force responded using advanced technology and Chinese fighter jets. Our Air Force gave a firm response.”
