I Too Have Fantasies: Bollywood Badshah Opens His Heart
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has made intriguing remarks on the importance of fantasies in his life. He emphasized that fantasies are not merely confined to dreams but are a vital part of human experience. Shah Rukh Khan described fantasies as a full-bodied, vibrant expression of imagination that rejuvenates the soul. He stated that fantasies are universal and timeless, existing in everyone’s life regardless of age.
On Friday, filmmaker Farah Khan, a close associate of Shah Rukh Khan, posted a video on Instagram in which the actor speaks about fantasies. Sharing the clip, Farah Khan wrote humorously, “Shah Rukh, I only asked you what you thought about fantasy, and you ended up making a whole film on it.”
In the video, created as part of a biscuit commercial, the Pathaan actor revealed, “I too have some fantasies. They play a crucial role in keeping one’s creativity and passion alive.”
Shah Rukh Khan added, “What do you think about fantasy? In my opinion, fantasy is a step beyond dreams. Fantasy dances on its own. Dreams are incomplete; fantasy is complete. Listen to it, my friend—it is meant to be lived. Fantasy is essential. It has no age, no stage in life. Everyone has a right to fantasy. I too have some fantasies.”
He continued, “Still have doubts? When you are stuck in traffic, trapped under your boss’s oppressive demands, seated at your study table, trying to fall asleep, or caught in the irrational logic of a complicated relationship—order the fantasy app OTP, launch the kite of thoughts with a rocket, enter a fantasy world, battle aliens, or get lost in another universe. Be the hero. Sometimes, be the villain. Hit a six off the last ball and defeat India. Kiss the prince, bring your cup home. No, no, no—sorry, sorry. Kiss the cup and bring your prince home. Or become Shah Rukh Khan in a romantic movie,” he narrated in his characteristic style.
The 59-year-old actor concluded, “Whenever you lose yourself in a fantasy, there will be smiles on your lips. When you return from the fantasy world, breathe life into your reality. Dreams are incomplete; fantasy is complete. Listen to it, my friend—it is meant to be lived. Fantasy is essential.”
