Nirmala Sitharaman inaugurates Spices Park at Yadlapadu

Guntur, April 6, 2015: Union Minister Nirmala Sitaraman has inaugurated the Spices Park at Yadlapadu near Guntur on Monday. The inauguration of the Spices Park that has come up in a sprawling 124 acres campus was witnessed by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao, Ministers Prathipati Pulla Rao and Ravela Kishore Babu. Speaking on the occasion, Nirmala Sitaraman said that the Centre is taking steps for enhancing production of 109 kinds of spices across the country. "The development of Spices Park is only part of that," she said , adding that 65 per cent of chilly production in the country is from Guntur district. 18 go-downs are being built for packing and storing of chilly production, she said.
