Microsoft Once Again Prepares for Major Job Cuts
Global technology giant Microsoft is preparing for another round of significant job cuts. After laying off 10,000 employees in 2023, the company is reportedly set to eliminate approximately three percent of its global workforce.

As of June last year, Microsoft employed around 228,000 people worldwide. The newly proposed layoffs are expected to affect thousands of employees across various regions.

Speaking to CNBC, a company representative stated, “We continue to implement organizational changes necessary to remain best positioned in a competitive market.” The spokesperson added that the company aims to streamline operations and reduce roles at the management level.

Earlier this year in January, Microsoft had already laid off some employees based on performance evaluations. However, the company clarified that the current round of layoffs is not related to employee performance.
