Unexpected Shock for Amazon Prime Video Users..!

Amazon Prime Video has announced a significant and unexpected change for its users in India. Starting from June 17, the platform will begin streaming advertisements during movies and TV shows. This marks a shift from its current ad-free model, a move officially confirmed by Amazon.
According to the company, this decision aims to generate additional revenue through advertising, which will then be reinvested into enhancing the quality and quantity of content available on the platform. In response to concerns from users who prefer uninterrupted viewing, Amazon has also revealed plans to introduce a new ad-free subscription tier.
Users wishing to avoid advertisements will need to subscribe to this new ad-free plan by paying an additional fee. Amazon stated that the plan would cost ₹129 per month or ₹699 per year. This is an add-on plan that must be purchased on top of the existing Amazon Prime annual membership, which currently costs ₹1,499.
Amazon clarified that the new plan is not yet available on its official website but has begun notifying users via email. The company stated in its communication, “This allows us to continue investing in compelling content and expand that investment over time. Our goal is to offer fewer ads than traditional TV channels and other streaming services.”
