Encounter Ends in Jammu and Kashmir; Three Terrorists Killed

Three Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists were killed in a fierce encounter that took place today in the Shopian district of South Kashmir. Security forces, having already intensified operations against terrorist camps across the border, are now escalating anti-terror activities within the valley itself.
According to details released by officials, security forces received credible intelligence that terrorists were hiding in the Shukru Keller forest area within Shopian district. Acting promptly on this information, military units encircled the area and launched a cordon and search operation. During the search, the hidden terrorists opened fire on the security personnel.
The security forces immediately retaliated, resulting in a heavy exchange of gunfire between the two sides. In the course of this confrontation, three Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists were confirmed dead, according to official statements. Weapons and explosives were recovered from the deceased militants.
Authorities further stated that search operations are still ongoing in the area where the encounter took place, but the situation remains under control. They emphasized that security forces are committed to completely eliminating terrorism from the Kashmir Valley.
