IPL Match Scheduled in Dharamshala Shifted to Ahmedabad

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced that the venue for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 match between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Mumbai Indians (MI), originally scheduled to be held in Dharamshala on May 11, has been changed to Ahmedabad. The change has been attributed to logistical reasons, according to an official BCCI statement.

Anil Patel, Secretary of the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA), confirmed the development and stated that the match will now be held in the afternoon. “The BCCI requested us to host the match, and we agreed. The Mumbai Indians team will arrive in Ahmedabad today. Punjab Kings’ travel plans will be finalized later,” said Anil Patel.

However, a representative of the Punjab Kings stated that the franchise had not yet received any official communication from the BCCI regarding the change in venue. “We have not received any information from the BCCI so far. We will finalize our travel plans only after we receive full clarity,” the official said.

Meanwhile, Punjab Kings are scheduled to play against Delhi Capitals (DC) in Dharamshala today at 7:30 PM as originally planned.

The change in venue comes amid reports of shelling along the India-Pakistan border, which has led to the closure of airports in northern and western cities. Some flights are operating with delays, while commercial flights to and from Dharamshala airport have been cancelled until May 10 due to military operations.
