Two Telugu Films Set for Digital Release on May 8

Two Telugu films are set to make their digital debut on Over-the-Top (OTT) platforms tomorrow. One of them is Jack, while the other is Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi. Both of these films had theatrical releases last month.

Jack features Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya in the lead roles. Directed by Bhaskar, popularly known as "Bommarillu" Bhaskar, and produced by B.V.S.N. Prasad, the film hit theatres on April 10. The movie is now set to begin streaming on Netflix from May 8. It will be available in Telugu along with dubbed versions in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. A related promotional poster has also been released. Despite being made on a budget of ₹30 crore, the film did not receive the expected response in theatres. It remains to be seen how well the film will be received on the OTT platform.

Meanwhile, Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi, starring Pradeep in the lead role, will be available for streaming on ETV Win starting May 8. The official streaming announcement was accompanied by the release of a promotional poster. Directed by Bharat and Nithin, this film marked the debut of Deepika as the female lead. It was released in theatres on April 11 but failed to deliver the anticipated results at the box office. The extent to which it resonates with viewers on OTT remains to be seen.
