Obulapuram Mining Case: Sabitha Indra Reddy Responds to Court Verdict

In a major political development, Telangana's former minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Member of Legislative Assembly Sabitha Indra Reddy has been acquitted in the Obulapuram mining case. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Special Court has delivered a verdict declaring her not guilty. Reacting to the judgment, Sabitha Indra Reddy expressed her relief and satisfaction, stating that she had always had complete faith in the judiciary and that justice had finally prevailed.

Speaking to the media outside the court, Sabitha Indra Reddy recalled her emotional journey over the past twelve and a half years. “I climbed the court steps in tears when this case began twelve and a half years ago. I was deeply hurt to be implicated in a case despite having done nothing wrong. However, I always believed that the judiciary would ultimately deliver justice. Today, that belief has been proven right,” Sabitha Indra Reddy said, visibly moved.

She also reflected on the psychological trauma she had endured during these years. “Over the years, I faced numerous humiliations. Those in the opposition portrayed me as corrupt and spread rumors that I would be sent to jail. Those words wounded me deeply. Nevertheless, the people of my district, especially my constituents, placed their complete trust in me and stood firmly by my side. Regardless of the criticism, they continued to support me and ensured my electoral victories. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who stood by me and gave me courage during these difficult times,” she stated.

Sabitha Indra Reddy conveyed special thanks to the judiciary for delivering the verdict.
