Tiger Roaming Nallamala: Public Advised Against Solo Forest Visits
A tiger has been roaming across several areas of Ardhaveedu Mandal in the undivided Prakasam district over the past three months, attacking and killing livestock. This has triggered serious fear and concern among local residents and cattle herders. Forest department officials have patrolled the area and collected tiger pugmarks as part of their investigation.
In this context, Markapur Deputy Forest Ranger Prasad Reddy issued key advisories to the public. He urged residents of the Nallamala forest region not to venture into the forest alone between 5:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
Prasad Reddy stated that the tiger has been moving across various locations in Ardhaveedu Mandal over the past three months, preying on domestic animals. He added that officials have visited the affected areas to alert the public and have gathered pugmark evidence of the tiger during their inspection.
