Chandrababu Highlights Amaravati’s Revival under Modi’s Presence
Telugu Desam Party President and Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu conducted a teleconference with party Members of Parliament, Members of Legislative Assembly, and key leaders. During the meeting, he expressed satisfaction over the successful execution of the recent program to resume construction works in Amaravati, the capital region. He extended special congratulations to all party workers and leaders who contributed to the success of the event.
Nara Chandrababu Naidu stated, “The public meeting attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was more successful than all previous meetings held so far. This event has once again brought national and global attention back to Amaravati. That is precisely the reason why we invited the Prime Minister to participate.”
“The program to restart Amaravati capital works was conducted very well. I appreciate all the workers and leaders who contributed to the event’s success. Although Prime Minister Narendra Modi had previously visited the state, this meeting surpassed all expectations. The resumption of the capital's development has drawn the attention of both the country and the world. To convey the necessity of Amaravati and to restore its former glory, we resumed the works under the auspices of the Prime Minister,” said Nara Chandrababu Naidu.
He added, “The Prime Minister said that Amaravati would become a strong foundation for Viksit Bharat 2047. The construction of people’s capital Amaravati will now proceed without hurdles. Amaravati is a symbol of self-respect for five crore people. It is evolving into a global city that will provide opportunities and jobs for the youth.”
He stated that during the election campaign, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Jana Sena Party President Pawan Kalyan, and himself had promised to reconstruct the state. “As promised, after assuming power, we have brought the derailed state back on track. We are working with the goal of completing the Polavaram Project by 2027 by securing the necessary funds. We revived the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, which was on the verge of closure, by securing ₹11,400 crore in central funds. We achieved the long-standing demand of the people of North Andhra by establishing a separate railway zone. We are bringing in large-scale investments to the state,” he said.
He noted that pensions are being distributed to the poor on the first day of every month. He announced that a notification had been issued for 16,347 teacher posts through the District Selection Committee (DSC). Under the Deepam 2 scheme, over one crore beneficiaries are being provided three LPG cylinders free of cost. Additionally, before the reopening of schools, ₹15,000 will be given to children under the ‘Thalliki Vandhanam’ initiative.
Nara Chandrababu Naidu stated that the ruling alliance would complete one year in power by June 12. He emphasized that government programs should be taken to the people. He mentioned that most nominated posts such as Corporation Chairmen, Directors, Cooperative and AMC Chairmen had already been filled, and the remaining would be completed soon. He asserted that appointments were being made based on the principle of social justice. He directed that all party organizational committees, except the state committee, should be completed by May 18.
He announced that this year’s Mahanadu would be held in Kadapa on May 27, 28, and 29. The state committee would be completed after the Mahanadu. He highlighted that party membership registrations were conducted at an unprecedented scale, and membership cards should be distributed as quickly as possible. He instructed elected representatives to remain accessible to the public and urged leaders to function based on feedback from party workers and the people.
He asserted that the Gujarat model should also be implemented in Andhra Pradesh, noting that Gujarat had developed rapidly due to stable governance. He alleged, “The YSR Congress Party continues to make cheap criticisms of any good initiative taken by the government... we must counter them. I am giving equal importance to the party and the government. In just one year of governance, we have brought visible change and instilled confidence among the people,” Nara Chandrababu Naidu explained.
