Trans Media Entertainment City Coming Soon to Andhra Pradesh: Minister Kandula Durgesh
Andhra Pradesh Minister Kandula Durgesh announced that India’s first-ever Trans Media Entertainment City will be established in Andhra Pradesh through a collaboration between the Andhra Pradesh Government and CreativeLand Asia. This announcement was made during the prestigious WAVES (The World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit) 2025, being held for the first time in India, in Mumbai from May 1 to 4.
According to Minister Kandula Durgesh, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Andhra Pradesh Government and CreativeLand Asia during the summit. As part of this MoU, Andhra Pradesh will see the development of theme parks, gaming zones, and global cinema co-production zones aimed at engaging tourists. He further stated that the agreement will contribute to job creation, skill development, tourism enhancement, and promotion of digital innovation.
While Minister Kandula Durgesh is currently in Vietnam, the MoU was signed by Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department Managing Director A. Amrapali Kata; Sajan Raj Kurup, Founder of CreativeLand Studios and Chairman of Creators Inc., London; David Unger, CEO of Artists International and a representative of the Global Advisory Board from Hollywood; William Pfeiffer, Managing Director of Globalgate; and Nicholas Granatino, Chairman of Novacquark.
Prior discussions regarding this project took place at the Minister's office in the Velagapudi Secretariat, where representatives of CreativeLand Asia engaged in detailed conversations. The MoU documents were exchanged in the presence of the minister.
Tourism Department MD A. Amrapali Kata stated that the Creators Land project would significantly boost the tourism sector. She emphasized that by integrating entertainment infrastructure, talent development, and tourism, the project would create livelihoods, strengthen the local economy, and elevate Andhra Pradesh’s profile on the global creative map. She described the initiative as a comprehensive vision and said it serves as a blueprint for how future-ready infrastructure can drive inclusive growth.
