BRS Working President K. T. Rama Rao criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his comments in Parliament about the formation of Telangana. Rama Rao emphasized that Modi's statement that Telangana did not celebrate its statehood was not only incorrect but also displayed ignorance and arrogance. He expressed his disapproval, stating that the Prime Minister, in his aim to critique the Congress, unintentionally offended the sentiments of Telangana's populace. PM Modi's remarks were focused on how new states in India usually celebrate their formation along with the parent state. He cited examples like Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, and Jharkhand, where both the new and old states rejoiced. However, regarding Telangana's creation, Modi observed that neither Telangana nor Andhra Pradesh celebrated, suggesting an atmosphere of bitterness, contrasting with the customary celebratory environment seen with other state formations.
