NIA's Timely Action Stops Terror in its Tracks in Tamil Nadu and Hyderabad

This morning, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) launched extensive searches in various locations across Tamil Nadu and Hyderabad, targeting ISIS sympathizers. The operation spanned 31 sites in both states. During the raids, numerous individuals were detained by the NIA. Investigators seized mobile phones, laptops, hard disks, and cash amounting to Rs. 60 lakh. In addition, key documents, electronic devices, and papers written in Arabic were confiscated. Evidence suggests that extremists have been luring young individuals into their fold under the guise of Arabic classes and "Regional Study Centers". Disturbingly, social media platforms such as WhatsApp and Telegram are being used to hold special training sessions. The NIA believes that these terrorists are scheming to promote the Khilafat ideology against the Indian government. They have established a group that actively recruits local youth. It's worth noting that those involved in the Coimbatore car blast on October 23 of the previous year, aimed to expand ISIS's influence by targeting and recruiting the youth. This alarming discovery prompted the NIA's recent operations. Present reports indicate that six suspects have been arrested in connection with this case.
