Chandrababu's House Custody: AAG Ponnavolu speaks to media - Live

In a recent development, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) court has denied Telugu Desam Party chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu's request for house custody. The ACB judge sided with the arguments presented by the Crime Investigation Department (CID). Chandrababu's legal team had filed a petition for house custody, citing concerns about security at Rajahmundry Central Jail. However, the judge concurred with the CID's assertion that the former Chief Minister has been provided with ample security at the jail, eliminating any perceived threats to his safety. Following the ACB court's decision to dismiss the house custody petition, AAG Ponnavolu, the lawyer representing the state government, addressed the media. He noted that prominent lawyers from Delhi had come to defend Chandrababu Naidu, seeking to reject the remand on various grounds, including security and health. AAG Ponnavolu emphasized that the government had implemented high-end security measures for Chandrababu Naidu and ensured proper arrangements for his medication and meals. To illustrate his point, he mentioned that the barrack in the jail is, in fact, a safer environment than private house custody, highlighting the government's commitment to Naidu's security and well-being.
