Nara Lokesh named in Skill Development Scam CID Remand Report
The CID presented a comprehensive remand report in court, shedding light on the involvement of TDP President Chandrababu, Nara Lokesh, and former Minister Atchannaidu in Skill Development scam. Chandrababu stands accused of masterminding the entire scheme, with the remand report accusing him of instigating the financial misconduct.
According to the CID, Chandrababu and Atchannaidu falsely presented the project in a cabinet meeting, despite the absence of a Detailed Project Report (DPR), and secured approval. The 29-page remand report also highlights Lokesh's role in the alleged wrongdoing.
The TDP's modus operandi, as explained in the report, involved approving such projects during their time in power and subsequently receiving donations. The remand report reveals that in this skill development scam, Nara Lokesh received funds through his main associate, Kilaru Rajesh. Initially, the money flowed through Chandrababu's CS Srinivas, before reaching Lokesh via Kilaru Rajesh, causing significant harm to the government.
The CID further elaborated that Lokesh received the funds through Kilaru Rajesh, and shell companies were employed to divert 371 crores using counterfeit invoices. Chandrababu is alleged to be behind the manipulation of critical documents, warranting his detention. The CID asserts that further details can be gleaned through interrogation in custody.
