Viral: Gautam Gambhir Shows Middle Finger To Virat Kohli Fans; Netizens Slam BJP MP

Former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir has found himself in the midst of a controversy following an incident during the Asia Cup match in Sri Lanka. After the India Vs Nepal match was called off in Pallekele, Gambhir was walking through the stadium when he faced chants from fans supporting Virat Kohli. The fans were enthusiastically chanting 'Kohli, Kohli,' which seemed to provoke a reaction from Gambhir. In a moment of frustration, he displayed an offensive hand gesture. The incident was caught on video and quickly spread across social media, leading to widespread discussions among internet users. Critics and netizens criticized Gambhir's action, with many labeling it as "shameful and disgraceful." Questions were raised about his behavior, particularly as he holds the position of a BJP Member of Parliament. In response to the incident, Gautam Gambhir offered an explanation for his actions. He stated, "There were 2-3 Pakistanis there who were speaking anti-India things and things on Kashmir. So, it was my natural reaction. I can't hear anything against my country. So, that was my reaction..." Gambhir clarified his stance, indicating that the chants and comments directed towards India and Kashmir were the trigger for his response.
