Bengaluru, Aug 26: Prime Minister Narendra Modi revealed that the landing site of the Chandrayaan-3 Mission will be named "Shiv Shakti Point" during his address at ISRO on Saturday. While the spot of Chandrayaan-2's unsuccessful landing will be referred to as the "Tiranga Point," the day Vikram Lander touched down on the Moon (August 23) will now be celebrated annually as "National Space Day" in India. PM Modi explained that "Shiv" represents humanity's welfare, and "Shakti" signifies the strength needed to achieve this welfare. The newly designated points aim to symbolize unity and inspire generations to use science for humanity's betterment.
