India's New Fighter Jet Squadron To Guard J&K Border From Pak & China; MiG-29s Replace MiG 21s

In a strategic move aimed at addressing potential challenges from both China and Pakistan, the Indian Air Force has introduced a squadron of MiG-29 fighter jets in the Kashmir Valley. The newly named 'Defender of the North,' the Tridents squadron, has taken over responsibilities at the Srinagar air base, a role previously held by the MiG-21 squadron. This alteration reflects a shift in focus from historical threats to a broader scope of safeguarding against dual adversaries. These advanced MiG-29 fighter jets are poised to significantly enhance India's aerial prowess, providing a substantial advantage in countering potential challenges emanating from both China and Pakistan. This strategic deployment underscores the Indian Air Force's commitment to maintaining a vigilant stance and bolstering defense capabilities in the region.
