Case filed against Minister Srinivas Goud

Hyderabad: A case has been officially lodged by the Mahbubnagar police involving 11 individuals, which includes Telangana Minister Srinivas Goud, in the ongoing controversy related to tampering of election affidavits. The case has been registered at the two Town Police Station in Mahabubnagar. Acting on the directives from the People's Representatives Court situated in Nampally, the police have taken this step. This development follows a previous petition presented to the People's Representatives Court, alleging the involvement of Minister Srinivas Goud in the manipulation of election affidavits. In response to this petition, the Nampally court ordered the Mahabubnagar police to initiate legal proceedings against Srinivas Goud and a number of election officials. The petitioner, Raghavendra Raju, raised concerns that the Mahabubnagar police had not adhered to the court's orders and had not registered a case against the implicated individuals. Consequently, the People's Representatives Court has revisited this matter. Following a comprehensive evaluation of the arguments presented, the bench has instructed the police to promptly furnish complete particulars of the case. The court has inquired about the case registration status and has directed the Public Prosecutor (PP) to ensure the police provide all pertinent details, including the First Information Report (FIR), to the court by the end of the day.
