Woman farmer slaps VRO in Kurnool

Kurnool: An unforeseen incident unfolded in Kurnool district involving a government official. A frustrated woman farmer, exhausted from her persistent visits to the government office seeking justice, contemplated slapping the VRO in her moment of exasperation. The unexpected blow left everyone present in astonishment. Chakali Veeranna and Chakali Sivaparvati, hailing from Pedda Nelatur of Gonegandla mandal, have been tending to a nine-acre parcel of land in survey number 430 for generations. However, in 2014, Chakali Ramu from the same village purchased two acres of the land online. Subsequently, Chakali Ramu asserted his ownership over the land in court. This led Veeranna and Shiva Parvathi to frequent the Tehsildar's office, striving to reclaim their unlawfully occupied land. However, in a surprising turn, the revenue authorities placed a hold on not just the two encroached acres but also the remaining seven acres within Survey No. 430. This unexpected legal entanglement has heightened the complexities of the situation for the affected farmers.
