LIVE : YS Sharmila's YSRTP to Merge in Congress?

YSR Telangana Party (YSRTP) leader, Y. S Sharmila, extended her congratulations to Congress's Rahul Gandhi after the Supreme Court suspended his disqualification, reinstating him as a Member of Parliament. In a tweet, Sharmila lauded Gandhi's dedication to democracy, secularism, and national unity. Recent developments hint at growing camaraderie between Sharmila's YSRTP and the Congress. She is reported to have traveled to Bangalore for a meeting with Karnataka Deputy CM and prominent Congress leader, DK Shivakumar. Rumors have been circulating about a potential merger of the YSRTP with the Congress party, and Shivakumar's expected visit to Delhi might further address this matter. Sharmila's increasing overtures to the Congress, including wishing Rahul Gandhi on his birthday, have fueled speculations about her party's potential merger or alliance with the Congress, especially with Telangana's Assembly elections approaching later this year.
