Live: BJP MLA Raghunandan Rao Press Meet
In a significant statement, BJP leader and Dubbaka MLA Raghunandana Rao emphasized that the upcoming assembly meetings of the Bharatiya Rashtravadi Samanta (BRS) will be the last. Expressing concern, he highlighted that since 2014, Telangana has not held a single assembly session for a minimum of 30 days. He urged the authorities to promptly organize a month-long assembly meeting to address various pressing issues.
Raghunandana Rao directed his appeal to Chief Minister KCR, seeking clarity on why the opposition parties are reluctant to engage in talks. He asserted that all parties, except BJP, are allies of BRS. During the assembly meeting, he demanded discussions on matters such as floods in Telangana, including Hyderabad, and the city's traffic issues.
Additionally, Raghunandana Rao expressed his intention to present a comprehensive analysis of the debts associated with the Kaleshwaram project during the assembly session. He also raised concerns regarding the Minority Bandhu initiative in Telangana and questioned why BC Bandhu has not been extended.
Taking a firm stance on governance ethics, Raghunandana Rao urged the immediate dismissal of Ministers Srinivas Goud and Gangula Kamalakar, who are facing illegal cases related to elections.
Drawing attention to the Congress party's recent dharna to waive off loans for farmers, Raghunandana Rao challenged the sincerity of their efforts. He suggested that if they are genuinely committed to the loan waiver cause, they should stage their protest in front of Pragati Bhavan and the Finance Minister.
