Ahmedabad: On Sunday, a fire erupted in the basement of Rajasthan Hospital, a multi-storey medical facility in Ahmedabad city, Gujarat. In response to the incident, approximately 100 patients were swiftly evacuated from the hospital as a precautionary measure, according to officials. The fire was reported to have started around 4.30 am in the hospital's basement, as indicated by an official from Sahibaug police station. Efforts to control the blaze are currently underway with firefighting teams working diligently. However, smoke continues to emanate from the affected area. The cause of the fire remains undetermined at this time. Notably, Rajasthan Hospital operates under the management of a charitable trust. Further investigations will be carried out to ascertain the cause of the fire.
