DGP Rajendranath Reddy Exposes Social Causes of Women's Kidnappings

Director General of Police (DGP) Rajendranath Reddy recently made the startling revelation that 26,000 girls and women were reported missing between 2019 and 2021, according to his statement. The fact that 23,000 of them have been successfully found and returned offers some hope, nevertheless. The DGP stressed that actions are being taken to account for the remaining 3,000 people by taking those who went missing in prior years into account. In response to the worrying scenario, DGP Reddy noted that a variety of socioeconomic reasons influence girls and women's decision to leave their homes, calling for a comprehensive strategy to address the underlying issues and safeguard vulnerable people. DGP Reddy voiced concern over a counterproductive campaign that appears to be hurting their advancement despite major efforts to regulate the cultivation and distribution of ganja in the state. He acknowledged the effectiveness of stringent regulations in lowering cannabis growing but emphasized the ongoing difficulties in thwarting the opposition's initiatives. The DGP recently assessed the existing state of affairs and devised a plan for future changes after thoroughly reviewing the law and order situation at the Kadapa District Police Office.
