Rain Woes in Telangana: Two-Day Break for Educational Institutions. IT Firms Adopt Traffic Solutions

In response to the relentless heavy rains and flooding in Telangana, the state government has taken a crucial decision to ensure the safety and well-being of its citizens. On Wednesday and Thursday, all educational institutions in the state will remain closed. The decision comes as the monsoons and low-pressure systems continue to trigger widespread rainfall, disrupting normal life and inundating roads. Hyderabad, the capital city of Telangana, has been experiencing continuous rainfall, leading the Meteorological Department to issue a red alert for both today and tomorrow. Heavy rain is expected to persist in Hyderabad, and all 33 districts in Telangana are likely to witness substantial rainfall. The weather department has issued red alerts for eight districts, orange alerts for ten districts, and yellow alerts for fifteen districts, cautioning residents about the potential risks and urging them to stay vigilant during this weather event. The situation in the IT corridor of Hyderabad has also been affected by the heavy rains, resulting in traffic issues. To address this problem, authorities have suggested altering office hours for two days. As a part of this initiative, employees working in IT companies have announced different logout times to stagger their departure and reduce the congestion during peak hours.
